This course will help you to assess the condition and associated disorders (OCD and Other Somatizing disorders).  You will learn to use a formulation Using CBT and Attachment theory, and practical ways to address the problem. Health Anxiety is a common problem, but professions struggle to engage and help patients.

Death anxiety is poorly understood but may be associated with various physical health and mental health conditions.  In most cases, patients may not reveal their fear, as they may think it is not a health care issue.  There is a large overlap with existential concerns. The course will use existential and humanistic theories to understand
and help patients.

For both topics there will be case studies that help to apply formulation and psychological interventions from a compassionate perspective. Case studies are based on patients attending psychotherapy, or inpatients in general hospital.
