The ASC is a very comprehensive service who are very good at supporting and promptly reply to queries. The event ran smoothly and the team were great; Very helpful and thought of everything. As an organiser, I could participate fully without having to deal with admin and I could focus on the content of the day. I was keen to promote environmentally friendly approaches and the ASC showed interest and supported this.

As the outgoing SAS Tutor, the responsibility of delivering a SAS development programme year on year would have been considerably more difficult and time consuming without assistance from the ASC staff. The assistance provided by the dedicated ASC staff member for SAS events commences right from the planning stages all the way up to the event day itself. They are integral to the effective planning, advertising and overall management of the SAS development days. It has always been a pleasure to work alongside the ASC staff who are highly capable and efficient in organising medical education events. Their attention to detail is most welcome and provides both organiser and delegates with an assurance that all their needs will be considered and catered for and ensures the success of the events. They are highly responsive to all organiser and delegate requests and feedback and are constantly striving to ensure that they maintain a standard of excellence. 

Additionally the ASC has also assisted in the designing and evaluation of the annual SAS Training Needs Analysis which underpins the development programme. Their skills extend beyond events organisation and include data capture and analysis which greatly assists in delivering targeted medical workforce learning and developmental events. 

I cannot praise the team more highly for their excellent work and would definitely turn to them for assistance when needing to plan any future educational events. Every one of the multiple events that they have helped me to deliver over the years has been a success.

The Andrew Sims Centre helped me not only with the practical organisation of the event, but I was able to use their skills and knowledge of staging events such as this to guide me in organising a successful event. The team where very helpful, approachable and it felt as though this was a real combined effort. We’d previously had ad hoc doctors attending the regional Medical Update for Psychiatrists but by working with Andrew Sims Centre to bring the event to a venue in our Trust’s area, we managed to have over 50% of our doctors attending the session.  This proved to be a very cost effective way of ensuring our doctors were up-to-date with relevant medical illnesses.  The team from Andrew Sims worked hard to ensure there were speakers for each of the areas we wished to be covering and this paid off as the feedback from our doctors was very positive. We would definitely look to repeat in the future.
