Women from ethnic minority groups are at greater risk of developing mental health problems. Poor Perinatal Mental Health impacts on maternal morbidity and mortality and can have devastating impact on child and family well being. It is therefore important to ensure services are designed to meet the unique cultural needs of parents and families from these diverse backgrounds and tackling health inequalities is at the forefront of every organisational policy, practice and attitudes to improve access and quality of care for women from these communities

The purpose of this workshop is to raise the awareness of Perinatal Mental Health & Well-Being within Culturally Diverse Communities and to share our learning & best practice with our target audience. Led by Dr Madhu Kewalramani (Consultant Psychiatrist) & supported by Balvinder Dosanjh (Clinical Engagement, Access & Inclusion Co-ordinator) & Errol Murray (Partners Peer Support Worker).

Coproduction and a panel of patient experts bringing the richness of their knowledge & experience alongside the clinician perspective will take on your questions during this fantastic workshop, welcoming discussions to further expand knowledge and development.
