Masterclass: Improving Your Medical Appraisal Skills

Medical Appraisal is the cornerstone of Medical Revalidation and medical appraiser skills are a key building block of this important process. This Masterclass is for doctors who are already trained and deliever Medical Appraisal in line with NHS England guidance who would like to develop and enhance their existing medical appraisal skills.

Presented by Dr Douglas Fraser and Gina White, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, this course is aimed at further developing medical appraiser skills for existing medical appraisers. The Masterclass will identify the key tasks for medical appraiser in assessing an appraisal portfolio, deciding when to go ahead with the appraisal, listening and questioning skills, agreeing a SMART PDP and completing a detailed summary of the appraisal.
