Digital Transformation by Design

The Human Centred Design Foundation Course runs from 4th October 2023 for 6 weeks on Wednesday mornings (9.30am-12.30pm). The virtual course is an introduction to human-centred design mindsets and methods in NHS digital transformation. The 6 module course includes 18 hours contact time plus 4 hours independent study time.

Our foundation course is relevant for anyone working in digital transformation in health and care. You may be a CCIO or clinician with a digital brief as part of your role, change/transformation lead, an IT manager, business analyst, delivery or project manager in a digital team.

The course will help you understand how to use design methods and mindsets in your day-to-day work. It will give you foundational knowledge, enabling you to apply a range of methods yourself and know when and how to bring designers in to work with your team. Delegates will be able to optimise adoption of digital technologies by understanding the needs and goals of your users and stakeholders, engaging them at each stage of the process, through to implementation and optimisation.
