As part of a series webinar held by the Chairs of the Leeds Citywide Race Equality Networks, Leeds &York Partnership Foundation NHS Trust, Workforce Race Equality Network is presenting:

Unleashed the potential within us – Exploring solutions and breaking barriers to Improve Workforce Race Equality – Reciprocal Mentoring programme

The Reciprocal mentoring Programme is primarily aimed at achieving diversity, representation, race equality of opportunity and cultural change in the organisation through cultural and systemic change. The programme aims to support genuine learning exchange through a two-way relationship between individuals that come from diverse organisational, professional and/or cultural backgrounds.

Within the reciprocal mentoring, both parties take on the role of mentor and mentee. The relationship is not based on seniority or status but driven by mutual knowledge exchange by the individuals involved. Knowledge and skills exchange and shared insights in mentoring partnerships will also support personal and professional development for all members involved.

At the end of the webinar the expectation is that delegates will be better informed with:
1) What is reciprocal mentoring?
2) Impact of reciprocal mentoring with board members and minority ethnic staff.
3) How the reciprocal mentoring programme can contribute towards cultural and systematic change.
